Dr. Melissa Chester (fondly known as Doc) is professionally trained as a college professor and taught on the collegiate level for over fifteen years before entering the field of real estate. She taught at Florida A&M University (FAMU), FSU, Grambling State University (GSU), and University of North Florida (UNF). She entered the real estate industry because of a life altering situation involving her mother who was displaced after renting the same home for over twenty-seven years due to the owners not paying the property taxes.

Since entering the real estate field in March of 2016, she has become a Florida licensed instructor (April 2017) and is the lead instructor for Premier Coast Real Estate School. She teaches the sales associate & broker pre-license, sales associate and broker post-licensing, and continuing education courses.

Dr. Chester became a broker in October of 2018 and is the Managing Broker with Premier Coast Realty, LLC (Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, & Orlando) & is also the Director of Education & Training for the company. Dr. Chester also has her Georgia broker’s license. Her company also has brokerages in Georgia (Residential Georgia) and Alabama (Residential Alabama). She also plans to obtain her broker's license in North Carolina. Dr. Chester is the Local Board President of National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) for Jacksonville, Florida (JAREB) for 2020 - 2022.
