Charaka C. Cook is the CEO of Cook Management Group where the mission is to “Bridge the Wealth
Gap” through financial education and empowerment as well as the CEO of Cook Global Transport, LLC.

She attended the University of South Carolina – Columbia, SC and studied intensively as a liberal arts student. She is a 2002 honor graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Interdisciplinary Cognates in English, Public Relations, and Photography. While at Carolina, Charaka was involved as a campus activist and received numerous awards. She obtained her Masters in Business Administration in 2015 from Southern Wesleyan University.

Charaka worked in the private financial services industry during her early career, which ultimately led her to focus on more specific areas in financial services including mortgage lending. For several years Charaka worked as a certified housing counselor specializing in foreclosure prevention. Currently, she operates a full-service insurance agency, The Cook Group. Her primary responsibility is to manage, train, and motivate over 50 agents nationwide daily.

In 2017, Charaka was recognized as a Trailblazer in the Insurance Industry. She is currently the #1 Agency Manager with Senior Life Insurance Company and has maintained this position since last summer; she is the only female that has held this position with the company’s 18 year history.

Charaka is the immediate Past Regional Vice President of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers Region V and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Charaka’s personal mission is to help people achieve their financial objectives and realize their strengths to take charge of their lives and leave a legacy for their families.
