Chandra Patterson has been an active real estate professional in Hampton Roads Virginia since
1994 with recognition as an Outstanding Salesman for most of those years. She has been an
active REALTIST and member of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB)
since 1995. She has served as Treasurer for the local Chapter, Hampton Roads Association of
Real Estate Brokers, Inc.
Chandra has served on the NAREB Budget and Finance Committee for several years. She has
also served on the Membership Committee and Credentials Committee. In 2015, she was
appointed by President Ron Cooper to serve on a special task force to help architect his 2Mn5
vision. In a leadership role, Chandra serves as Chair of the Credentials Committee, Vice-Chair of
the Public Affairs Committee, and Chair of the 2019 NAREB Community Wealth Building Day
in Hampton Roads. Additionally, she helped plan and facilitate the 2019 NAREB Policy
Conference in Washington, DC.
Chandra sees value in being a REALTIST. As an RVP, she will be dedicated to helping members
maximize the opportunities and benefits of being a REALTIST. She will also help grow the
region to give it more presence by helping chapters in Region IV to increase their membership.
Chandra is a graduate of Hampton University, with a degree in Finance. She is active in her
community and currently serves as the 3rd Vice President for the National Council of Negro
Women (NCNW) - Newport News/Hampton Section. She also serves and 2nd Vice Treasurer for
her church. During federal and state elections, you will find her working the polls through voter
protection.
Chandra has held positions as the 2017 President, 2014-2016 Treasurer, Board of Director,
Committee Chairperson, and active committee member in her local REALTOR association,
Virginia Peninsula Association of Realtors (VPAR). On the state level, she served as the 2020
Director and will be serving in 2021. She was appointed by the 2020 Virginia Realtors President
to serve as the Chair of the Presidential Advisory Group for and Inclusion. On the national level,
Chandra serves as the Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) for Congressman Bobby Scott and the
REALTOR Party Member Involvement Committee. She has also served as the 2020 President
for the VPAR Charitable Foundation.
In addition to recognition and awards for sales production, Chandra is the 2011 recipient of the
REALTIST of the Year award and the 2010 REALTOR of the Year award for VPAR.
In her spare time, Chandra enjoys music of most genres, working out, watching movies and
spending time with her sister and best friend, Erica and spoiling her fur niece, Star.
