Muriel Williams-Thompson Biography
Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Muriel is no stranger to the vastly growing Colorado Community. She graduated from Kent Denver High, attended college at Syracuse University in New York, then completing her Bachelor’s Degree at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California.
As a child of a long standing Denver based real-estate family, Muriel is a skilled 3rd Generation Real Estate Professional. She is the proud grandchild of the founders of Town and Country Realty, Inc. in 1951, the oldest black owned real estate agency in Colorado still standing.
Muriel’s love affair with real estate was ignited very shortly after college, when as an investor, she purchased her first home immediately after graduating from college. After a successful career in corporate sales, Muriel became a full time Realtor in 2005. Her extensive experience in corporate environments allowed her to hone her organizational and leadership skills. These skills have propelled her to excellence personally and professionally and have contributed to her success as an agent. Muriel has received many distinguished awards, including Presidents Circle awards for excellence.
Her determination to uphold a tradition of trust, integrity and expertise has earned her a long list of satisfied clients, and her commitment to the community is evidenced by her past Board of Directors position with the South Metro Fire Rescue, previous Chair of Cunningham Fire Protection, as the current Cabinet Chair in the office of Colorado Senator James Coleman, and most notably, as a member of the Executive Board, as the President of the Denver Board of Realtist- Denver Chapter of National Association of Real Estate Brokers and Board Director for National Association of Real Estate Brokers.
Always eager to sharpen her skills and increase her knowledge, Muriel has earned several certifications, designations and awards including being selected as a candidate to complete the prestigious Real Estate Diversity Initiative program, which has allowed her to better serve her community over the last 17 years as a realtor, investor, board member and advocate for her clients.
